Week 66: IT'S HAPPENING!!

March 6, 2017

Ok so first item of business YOU ARE ALL LITERALLY GOING TO PASS OUT ON THE CONCRETE, SO CALL 9-1-1 AHEAD OF TIME! ARE YOU READY?!

So. Saturday morning. Sister Clegg and I are doin our thang, nah boo nah. All of the sudden the AP's are calling. WELL, what do they want. Oh my goodness it's transfer calls. CRAP. Sister Clegg is leaving, which is the biggest shock considering everything that is currently going on in our area and life. I am super bummed because we had a good thing goin BUT THEN THE GREATEST NEWS OF 2017- MY NEW COMPANION IS SISTER SOPHIE HAYES, AKA MY BABY, AKA THE ASIAN I TRAINED IN STOCKDALE, AKA MY NEW COMPANION

I CANNOT EVEN RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!

Like. What did I do before coming to this earth to deserve such a gift.

Oh my gosh. Ok so Saturday night we had stake conference and of course President Layton is there. Afterward he walks over to me and I just start bouncing up and down and giggling like a complete retard. I'm like, "So transfers huh?!"

President: "The Lord told me this is what we needed to do."

Me: "I LIKE THE LORD."

President: "Ya know what I think? I think the Lord put the two of you together before to prepare you to be togther now. Together, the two of you can change the world." My heart melted into a warm puddle on the floor. I am seriously SO EXCITED for the future.

Currently, the YSA is on the brink of complete explosion. President wants to put another set of missionaries in and he said, "Whenever you don't have enough time to teach all your investigators we'll get more missionaries." We are almost to that point but I am holding out until we have to have lessons at 6:30am. We had to have one at 8 this week so we are close BUT NOT CLOSE ENOUGH SO HA!!

This just happened this week and I kid you not. Our recent convert of 3 weeks invited her cousin to church and institute, and on our second lesson last night: "So, I wanted to talk to you guys about what I have to do to join the church and become a member. I told my old church I'm leaving, so I'm all in." UM EXCUSE ME, CAN I PLEASE HUG YOUR FACE?!?! Literally. Miracles are everywhere.

Ok. Best day of my life. Emma got baptized this past weekend. She just turned 18, lives at home, and her mom has never supported the idea. When she called me to tell me she was getting baptized I was like oh my word your mom doesn't mind?? Well it turns out, she told her mom, "Hey so today the missionaries invited me to go to a baptism for someone so I'm gonna go and then I'll be back" but she forgot to mention that the baptism was FOR HER - MINOR DETAIL!!!

The greatest part of this whole situation is that both Sister Hayes and I BOTH taught Emma before, and now Emma is coming to the YSA ward, and we both get to teach her the new member lessons. LIKE THIS IS MORE THAN COINCIDENTAL, THE LORD IS AMAZING!!!

Well that's all I have to say. I HAVE 2 TRANSFERS LEFT AND I HATE EVERYTHING AND IF ANYONE ASKS ME ONE MORE TIME WHEN I COME HOME, I AM LITERALLY NEVER TALKING TO YOU AGAIN - AND THAT WAS ME SAYING THAT NICELY.

Week 65: I Be Getting' My Hair Done Today

February 27, 2017

That moment when you make a joke and don't realize you made a joke and everyone starts laughing and then you start laughing to join in, but you're totally confused. And then you realize you made a joke and then you really start laughing.  #tendermoments

WHEN THE LORD JUST DOES HIS WORK. Ok so when I was in Stockdale, we taught this AMAZING girl named Brooklyn. She is YSA age. The other day all of a sudden her name popped into my mind, and we decided to go see her. The timing worked out perfectly when we visited her- it was her only day off and she was just walking in the door. It was sooo good to see each other, and she totally wants to take the discussions again and come to YSA!! The best part: "You literally have no idea how perfect the timing is of you guys coming to see me." Ugh so fantastic!! Love her face.

Our investigator Raul. I love his heart and soul. Not like that, so CALM DOWN. We had a lesson with him, and as part of his HW we wanted him to read a chapter out of the bible as well as the Book of Mormon. We went out to our car to get a bible for him and he says, "Hey I have a question. What's your goal with teaching me?" Oh, good lad, what an excellent question. We basically said our goal is to help him draw closer to Jesus Christ, know this is all true, and act on that knowledge... baptism. He goes, "Oh ok sounds good." SOUNDS GOOD TO ME TOO RAUL!!! Then we had another little lesson and he was like "yeah the more we keep talkin about baptism the more appealing it sounds". Well let's talk about it all day then!!!!!!!

Back in Stockdale ward (the motherland), we worked with this amazing girl named Emma for quite sometime. I went over to her house a year ago, and then we worked with her all throughout the summer until I got transferred to Tehachapi in September. I was suuuper disappointed she didn't get baptized and that we had to stop teachinig her. Over the past month she's been on my mind randomly, and I kept feeling like we should go see her soon because she is YSA age. Then I got a text this week and found out that SHE IS GETTING BAPTIZED THIS SATURDAY AND SHE ASKED IF I COULD COME AND I LITERALLY CEASED TO BREATHE FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. I got her number and called her and we just screamed over the phone for a solid minute, no joke. SO exciting. And the best part is that right after she gets baptized in Stockdale I am going to kidnap her into YSA and it's gonna be awesome!!!!!!!

That moment when President gives you marriage advice in interviews and you're like um #nunforeverbyeeee - love him so much though.

Also I have a testimony of persistence. For 15 months I have wanted a special nametag that is for pockets that only elders wear. What if I wanna be an elder huh?? Nah jk I've wanted it for my scriptures. Every time I asked, I got shot down by Elder Ball, the senior office missionary. He literally calls me trouble. "Oh there's trouble again! I've heard about you all week!" Oh my word. I finally got him to change it to wonderful instead of trouble. #goals. FINALLY the last time I asked him he said YES and now I have a nametag for my screeeptures!! Persistence is key. 15 months worth of persistence.

OH my word, can we have a good news minute? So a few weeks ago we'd take frequent walks at the bluffs- the cliffs of Bakes. We'd hand out Book of Mormons and share the good word as we enjoyed the sunshine. We got a text from a random number a couple of days ago that said, "Thank you guys for the book at the bluffs about 2 weeks ago. May you be blessed." It made my heart melt! You really never know what will happen, so just invite others to come unto Christ, and then you do you nah boo nah!!

Also we have a new recent convert in the YSA ward who is African American and blind named Tanisha. She gets up and goes, "I am the first visually-impaired black member of the church so I can say this, Ima say it loud, Ima say it proud, I'm black." I was internally DYING I was so happy.

PEACE.

Week 64: Beach Volleyball and ONE Year in the Zone

February 20, 2017

Alma 5:7, Book of Mormon:
"He awakened them out of a deep sleep, and they awoke unto God."

I took that literally this week on exchanges and set a pass-a-long card of Jesus on some old guy's lap that was asleep on his porch. It's the little things.

The other night we had a discussion with our investigator, Jose. He has the most tender spirit of all time. He has been taught for a few months, and he's ready but he's just so nervous and unsure of himself. We talked all about the Holy Ghost being our constant companion and teacher, & our awesome members talked about not having to be perfect and that repentance is REAL. We had him read a scripture that talks about the qualifications for baptism, and asked him to ask himself if he fit that qualification (D&C 20:77). Mmmmm the spirit was working on him, you could see it, and it was beautiful. Then we asked him if he wanted to be baptized, and he said... YES! I was so excited I made us all do a group high five and I was jumping up and down in my seat. It happens often. He is so excited about it and makes me so excited about it. "I never thought I would get to this point in my life." Well Jose it's just the beginning of goodness so BUCKLE UP!!

So with the new missionary schedule, we have a little bit more freedom. FREEDOM BABY!!!!! Lolz. Instead of having companionship study in the morning, we can have it whenever we want. My favorite thing as of late: we have what's called "the bluffs" right by the college campus. It's a big cliff that overlooks the oil fields and the mountains, and their is a trail along the cliffs with palm trees and all. It's actually so gorgeous. When we have down time between lessons, we go to the bluffs and take walks and have our comp study on the trail. We'll bring cards and copies of the Book of Mormon and talk to peeps as we walk.

Last time, we were walking and we see this couple chilling on a bench. I got this feeling, "you gotta talk to them." At the moment I was feeling resistance for some reason. Satan. I decided in my head that if the guy looked at me I'd talk to them. Ya know, cuz I'm dumb like that! Right when I had that thought the guy looks over at me. Ok I get it! We went and talked to them and oh my word, they were so golden it was beautiful. The boyfriend was convincing the gf to take the lessons! Lolz! Right before we left we asked, "Do you mind if we give you a gift?" and we gave them a Book of Mormon and they were sooo excited and grateful. "Thank you so much for the gift!" They didn't look like the type that would accept a Book of Mormon, but guess what? Ya never know and das why you gotta talk to everyone cuz only the Lord knows.

We got this AMAZING referral for a young lad named David. He asked us to meet him at Starbucks to talk with him, and he is THE most prepared and spiritual person. The best part was trying to teach the Restoration while Michael Ruble's "Save the last dance for me" was blasting through the speakers. The best part of the whole evening- Sister Clegg recited the first vision while T-Pain was screaming through the speaker, and afterward David said, "Wow!!" and in my head I'm like oh phew he felt something, and he goes, "you had that whole thing memorized!" I was dying laughing.

I just have a full heart lately. I am so grateful that the spirit pushed me off my personal cliff and told me to come on a mission. I have changed so much, and my perspective is on much more of an eternal level than before. I hope that the changes I make in my life, and the changes we all make in our lives, stick with us even when we live in a fallen world. It's the little things that will keep us on track.

Alright. Bless all y'all I lerve yer faces.

Also my former companion Sister Carter made me a "Queen of West Bakes" crown since I served in that zone for a year AND MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE DONTCHA KNOW!!!

Week 63: Giddy

February 13, 2017

That moment when you're at a stop light driving home and a guy pulls up next to you and tries to start talkin to you and you feel so awkward and the only thing you know how to do is turn up "Count your many blessings" on full blast and hope he gets the message #flirttoconvert

The other day our investigator texted us and goes, "So I was reading on your lds website about a manuscript that had been lost by Joseph Smith- the 117 lost pages I believe. I wish I could have read that." THAT MAKES TWO OF US, MY FRIEND.

Oh I decided I'm not coming home from my mission so I'll never be seeing any of you unless you come visit me in Bakersfield because HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FIND REAL MEXICAN FOOD ANYWHERE IN UTAH!!
Thought for yer day:
If you want to make lasting changes in your life, it has to be on the foundation of something everlasting.

I know. I'm deep.

We met this investigator named Raul a couple weeks ago. He is a quiet guy but he was interested. Our first lesson, he hardly talked and he didn't want to pray and he didn't come to church. We asked him to pray and to read before we came back. This past week our lesson with him was sooo different than before. He was super talkative and had a lot more questions. We talked about prayer a ton with him- how we pray, why we pray, what to say, and then all about how to get answers. And then at the end we all knelt down AND HE GAVE THE SWEETEST PRAYER ON THE PLANET. It was so tender. Then he came to church! And we forgot to tell him to wear church clothes so he came in jeans. He's like "was I supposed to dress up? I feel out of place." Crap, Lol. WE CAN'T ALWAYS BE PERFECT.

So my whole mission, I've heard about this street on the East side of town called Cottonwood road. Everyone has talked it up saying it's the most ghetto road in Bakes. Well guess what. The other day we went to go visit a less active and he lived on... Cottonwood!! I was seriously so excited. We go to the address.... and it's a perfectly normal neighborhood. I was so disappointed. I was hoping to be right in the middle of a drug bust or something crazy, but nope. We pray before we get out of the car, and right as I said, "Please help us to know if we will be safe here" a voice popped into my head and said, "Do not get out of the car." Ugggghhh fiiiiiiine. If there is one thing I know FO SHO, it's to never ignore a prompting. So we drove away, sadly. But I got a picture with the street sign so it's all good. Lesson learned: Don't ignore promptings, even if you don't ever see the reason why you got that prompting.

Also here is a quote I love so much:

"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior but Christ can change human nature."

If you really want to change the way you act, ask the Lord to change your heart and the rest will follow.

PEACE MAH BRETHREN.

Literally so many pictures; enjoy this beautiful face while you can.

Week 62: Read the Whole Thing, Folks.

February 6, 2017

KKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!

First things first; our investigator Jordan got baptized and I love her face!!

So. The Institute building is right on the corner of campus where alllll da traffic izz. We set up a booth with all yall fav gospel stuffy gruff and we sold the gospel for free, or should I say, "buy milk and honey without money and without price." (See 2 Nephi 26:25 for further gems). LITERALLY SO MANY FLOCKED TO US LIKE LOST SHEEP IT WAS AWESOME. Maybe it was cuz we had candy on our table. SO many people were so open and we just got to chat and give all of our pamphlets and cards and copies of the Book of Mormon away to people of the nations of the earth!!! Four people agreed to meet with us the next day. It was sick. We had some members from the YSA ward chillin with us so the students of Bakersfield College wouldn't be too intimidated by two sister missionaries in skirts.

We had FHE and we played volleyball. Sis Clegg and I got to wear pants, and I don't think I felt more normal on my mission until that moment.  It was such a beautiful experience. And a guy we met earlier that day while boothing decided to come; his name is Humberto. He is the sweetest!!! We taught him the Restoration which he loved, and after the lesson we walked with him to his choir class with a member, and the member asked him how his lesson went and he said, "AMAZING." Mah heart. THEN this amazing member totally took him under his RM man wings and they have a 3-way call group prayer every night to help Humberto. LIKE WHAT THE HECK I DON'T KNOW EITHER. So great. And then Humberto signed up for Institute. Like signed sealed delivered he's ours. Well... the Lord's.

Oh my word, so we have an investigator named Jose. He is the sweetest (pic attached) and he has some struggles with talking to people in general- it's so hard for him even in lessons. HE TOTALLY GOT UP AND BORE HIS TESTIMONY ON SUNDAY. We were all unconscious afterward. Well.. I know I was so I actually can't speak for everyone else. Ugh it was a gorgeous moment and HE IS SO READY IT'S HAPPENING.

One of my new favorite things is visiting less-active YSA peeps. I went on splits with a less-active ward missionary, and we didn't visit anyone but instead talked all about missions and being less active and coming back. It was AWESOME! Every single question or concern this girl had about missions, there was an experience I could share that I had had on my mission. The Lord's a good one. After that she came to three activities and church!! Miracles biracles siracles lyricals.

So I realized how much I love Bakersfield and how spoiled I am to be here. Palm trees everywhere, it was 60 on Saturday and we all played beach volleyball, and we get to drive all over Bakersfield searching for lost sheep. Does it get any better?!

Byyyyeeeeeeeeee!

Week 59: EEEEEEEE

January 16, 2017

Ok literally this email is gonna be a long one but just SAY A PRAYER PUT YER SEATBELTS ON AND READ THIS BABY.

We have been in the miracle zone all week. Like. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY EXCEPT  PA;FJOER;LER;LIASL;I;UER!!!!!!!

Ok. Took a breather and I'm back.

Let's just start at the beginning of the week. Or shall we say, miracle number one?

So. We haven't had anyone to teach for a minute or so. We had made plans to go visit this less-active lady who has been stuck in the hospital for 10 weeks, but that morning she texted us and said that the baby that was in her tummy was coming early, so we had to change our plans, which I've learned actually means the Lord has a little somethin up his sleeve for us. We decided to go into this gated community and visit a part member. No answer. We pray and we feel like we should just walk around the neighboorhood. We can't knock any doors cuz it's gated, so we are walking around passing out cards to all the beautiful souls we see. When all of a sudden, BAM BAM BAM 3 new children of God that wanna hear about the gospel and we are gonna teach them!! Sister Carter and I made a goal that we are going to talk to everyone, and I mean everyone. We were speed walking back to our car because we were running late, and this man is getting out of his car on our way, so we said,
"Hey can we give you a card from our church?"
"What church?"
"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!"
"Uh.."
"Sometimes people call us mormons."
"Oh! This is from the mormon church? Oh I'll keep this. I'm busy this week but you can come over next week. Here's my contact info."
Sister Carter was literally speechless. Lolz!

Oh on a side note, hahaha so funny. We were walking back to our car and we saw a lady walking in our direction and we asked her if we could give her a card. Literally I thought I saw Satan in her eyes when she said, "You know you aren't supposed to knock doors here!!!! I'm the president of the HOA." And in my head I'm like the holiday hoobie whaty? We talked to her for like 30 minutes and then convinced her to let us come into her house. HAHAHAHA WE GOT INSIDE YO HOUSE AND WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO KNOCK!!

Oh. My. Word. Ok so remember foreeevs ago when Sister Ryan and I got a phone call from our friend Freddie and he was going to commit suicide and we went and decorated his door and talked with him? He's been calling us every other week or so, and we talk to him and try to meet with him but not a ton happens. He called us again this week and we tried coming over but he didn't answer. Then on Saturday we got a call, so we went over and talked to him for a bit. He was super down so we told him to come out of the house with us and go for a walk to a member's house a few streets down. He was just bawling and bawling becuase of all the stuff he's been goin through. Then the dad, Brother Hamilton, was talking to him and he told him, "When I joined the church the missionaries told me a few things that really changed my life." And then he told Freddie that before he lived here, he lived with God and that he is a child of God and he has potential to be like Him. I just sat there and with my own eyes watched Freddie's spirit awaken within him and he completely lost it. It was awesome. On our walk back to his house it was kinda breezy outside and Freddie goes, "When ya got da breeze uh Jesus you ain't need notin else." That's right you tell 'em Freddie!

Mmmmmmk so THE GREATEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE HAPPENED SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN A GIRL I TAUGHT IN STOCKDALE GOT BAPTIZED AND I GOT TO SEE THE ENTIRE WARD AND I LITERALLY COULD HAVE CURLED UP IN A BALL AND DIED. It was like a dream come true. I walked in the room and seriously almost screamed because I got to see so many people that became a huge part of my life for 9 months. And the girl who got baptized (her name is Kayla, but it's a different Kayla than the one who got baptized before I left) asked if I could come to the temple with her and sister Hayes this Saturday!!!!!!!! Like. I can't breathe. Kayla, my baby Sister Hayes, and my favorite members. I CAN DIE HAPPY.

Also we had our first Saturday of ultimate frisbee and it was a success! We had a part member family show up that we are teaching, and Sister Carter and I had to reign ourselves back in because we are missionaries and we can't be that competitive but IT'S HARD WHEN YOU LOVE THE GAME. Ugh it was so much fun. Then we played with whip cream afterward and you all know how I feel about sugar. ❤

So we send out a daily scripture text every day to our peeps; here's today's:

2 Nephi 10:32
"Cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves- to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life."

Isn't agency such a great blessing and part of life? We don't have to be miserable and sad! Because of Jesus Christ, we can choose to be happy, diligent, charitable, patient, loving , obedient, and cheerful in any phase of life!

He is the way we can have happiness here, and happiness forever. But most importantly, happiness today.

Oh also, what do you call an alligator with a vest? And investigator!! LOLZ!

HAPPY MONDAY!
Also enjoy this video of our zone activity and hilarious pics.

Week 61: Those Young-ins Doe

January 30, 2017

A week of giggles, gaggles, and young single adults.

The biggest adjustment so far to serving in the YSA ward is watching the couple in front of me in sacrament meeting all cuddly and in my head I'm just like EXCUSE ME WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? CUDDLING AND DATING IS NOT ALLOWED. I'm still adjusting. Lolz.

Sooooooo yeeeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhh transfers! Ugh so sad to say goodbye to Sister Carter. But the beautiful thing about change is there is ALWAYS something amazing and exciting to look forward to. With every sad goodbye to a companion or an area, I have seen that every new companion and area has been an amazing adventure. So transfers are a good thing. My new compy boo/victim is Sister Clegg. We are together in YSA, where the city of Bakersfield is our oyster. Here are the highlights of this week:

We go to a looot of activities in YSA. FHE, Institute, linger longers, etc. It's a lot of fun! Since I have served a lot of my mission in Bakersfield, I have met a lot of YSA people already, so it's been really fun to see everyone and now serve in their ward! I am so excited to help them all with  member missionary work. I wish I had known how to be a better missionary during my Disney College Program and working at the Color Run. I was a complete retard. But repentance is real, and so is the Smoke shop and liquor store right across the street from our apartment. I can't tell you the enjoyment that comes to my soul to live in the crazy part of town. FINALLY!!!!!!

We are working a lot with Bakersfield College. We walked around campus and got our bearings, and it made me realize how grateful I am for BYU. There really is a spirit about that campus that you can't find anywhere else. I was in complete shock to see people smoking on campus. I am such a sheltered child. I am so excited to paint the campus Mormon. Gon be sick.

YSA- AGE PEOPLE ARE SO READY TO HEAR THE GOSPEL, LEMME TELL YOU.

So we were driving from our district meeting, and we saw a guy selling fresh fruit from his truck. A common occurance in Bakersfield. We decided to pull over and get some uh dat goodness even though all I had was a handful of pennies in my purse and to my name. We run up to the man- "HOLA HI THERE!!!!!!! Mango for money?" and he just looks at us. Lolz! We give him all our pennies and a Book of Mormon and he let us have a mango!! Ha!!! Then he gave us back the Book of Mormon and we made him take a card. We drove away and then we realized that Sister Clegg had a 5 dolla holla bill in her white handbook. Tender mercies. We pull over again- "HOLLA WE ARE BACK!!!!" this guy probs hates missionaries forever now. Got some fresh strawberries too. I love Bakersfield.

Wellllllllll the time's been a'flyin this week. We've been super busy and it's been super awesome. The Lord knows what we need and where we need to be. All we gotta do is T-R-U-S-T.

K byyeeeeee!!!!

Week 60: Lunch with Sister Layton and Temple with Hayes

January 23, 2017

There are no words inside my cranium to describe the wonderfulness of the past week!

Some of the highlights of this week include:

-Having lunch with Sister Layton at the mission home with a few other sisters. I felt like one of those fancy pretty ladies who drink herbal tea and paint paintings outside. It was all fine and dandy, until somehow all of my dirt was out on the table, and my companion and former companion were sharing stories of all the times I scare them at night. Haha, oops!! The presidential inauguration was the day we had lunch. Sister Layton was mentioning that motab sang, and one of the sisters asked what song they sang, and before I could even hold my tongue I said, "Praise to the man." We were all a giggly little bunch.

-We got our oil changed! Missionaries.... They're just like you!

-Suuuper long-time comin lesson this week. Part member family with triplets all over the age of eight!! We have been teaching everyone and their dog the restoration lesson using cups that Trent gave me (it took me like 2 transfers to figure out how to use them lolz!) and it was seriously ugh. So beautiful. All three of them want to get baptized!! Good things are happening.

I WENT TO THE LA TEMPLE WITH MY BABY SISTER HAYES AND A RECENT CONVERT ON SATURDAY, AND I CRACKED IN HALF AND INTERNALLY EXPLODED. It was awesome.

Ok so full story on that all caps sentence. Sister Hayes and I, my little Asian persuasion. Hehe! She and I got to go down with the Stockdale ward on their temple trip with our recent convert who got baptized last week. It was a stake temple trip, but the night before they cancelled it because their might be snow. MIGHT?! I was so depressed I almost bought Ben & Jerry's. THEN that morning our ward decided we were doin it and we decided to just go. It was blue skies the entire day. Californians. JK I am literally one of them now.

Anyways, it was seriously the best day of my life. Being with the Stockdale Ward at the temple, with a recent convert, with my Sister Hayes. And it was so beautiful in LA too! After the temple, the Hubble's, one of my loves from the Stockdale ward, took us to Santa Monica Pier and we had lunch at the very last restaraunt on the pier overlooking the ocean. It was AWESOME and it was mexican food so the Lord really blessed me tenfold.

And then it happened. While we were in the car, President called asking for me. I literally thought all of you had died in an earthquake because President doesn't make transfer calls. Turns our you're all fine. But I am getting transferred.

This year the first presidency is making a really big emphasis on the youth and the young single adults. They are doing a bunch of stuff to really ramp up the missionary work with the YSA ward here in Bakersfield. They are doing some different things with Institute, and then they are starting a student association at the college campus called LDSSA! Super cool. I am going to be serving in the YSA ward now!

I am super excited. It's going to be SO different from my entire mission. We work strictly through member referrals and I'll be with a bunch of people my age. I cover all of Bakersfield so literally the world is my oyster. It's going to be awesome. I am sad to leave the Snow Ward and Sister Carter. We had such a great time and saw some really good things happen here together. I am also going to miss scooping horse poop at the horse riding center. But really though. Every minute in this area has been a blast. But I love change. AN ADVENCHA IS HEEYA YONDA!

Ok. Here is how you get rid of people who keep calling you. AKA our DISTRICT LEADERS. jk but every time they call you just answer and recite your voicemail. It works EVERY TIME.

Alright peace and blessings on the streets of where err yer shovelin dat snowwww. Love you all!!
